Paddington 2 & Fenwick's Window

Just to keep the festivities lasting a bit longer, here's a post about Fenwick's window (in Newcastle) and also Paddington 2!

Going to see Fenwick's Christmas display every year is a must for my family and friends. I'd definitely recommend it if you have the time and live near the area (or are visiting). I didn't manage to take many pictures this year because I was either rushing to uni, blocked by crowds or defeated by rain/snow, but here's one of them...

As you can see, 2017's theme was inspired by the Paddington films/books, which I loved! They pick a different theme every year and it's made up of a series of animated characters, like a storyboard as you walk along it. The first one of these was in 1971, and since then it's become kind of a North East tradition. Obviously it can get busy with people going for Christmas shopping, but usually there's a queue to walk along the window and it doesn't take that long, even when it's busy.

A couple of weeks ago I went to see Paddington 2, and it has to be one of the sweetest films I've seen in a long time! I loved the first one too but I honestly think that the sequel does it justice. The people who I went with all loved it, and some of them went into it without seeing the first one and also thinking it was just a 'kids film'! It's become one of my favourite films with its heart-warming storyline, and I'd definitely recommend it to people of all ages.
