July Favourites
Okay, so I know it's not July at all now, but I thought I'd give you a round-up of what products I was really loving then (since I'm still loving them now), and I'll do a 'favourites' post every time I have things in mind! So here are my faves from July...
I also bought the flamingo sequel bag to match as it was only £1 and it's so pretty!
Body Shop - Special Edition Cactus Blossom Range
When I saw the new Body Shop range was cactus blossom, I just knew I had to try some of the products. If you know me, you'll know I always have a cactus in my room so this new fragrance really intrigued me. The fragrance is quite subtle, fresh, and slightly floral. I also love that the cactus flower extract is from Morocco, the shower gel and body scrub contain Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, and the body yogurt contains Community Trade organic almond milk. I bought the shower gel, body yogurt and body scrub from this range... then I loved them so much that I bought 2 more showers gels!Tarte - Let's Flamingle Makeup Brushes
This makeup brush set is just so beautiful and definitely stands out from my other brushes. They feel so soft and they're quite lightweight so they're not difficult to hold. Obviously a standard straight brush might be slightly easier to use but I don't find these difficult at all and I just think they're beautiful!I also bought the flamingo sequel bag to match as it was only £1 and it's so pretty!
Benefit - It's Potent Brightening Eye Cream
I received a little pot of this eye cream as a free sample when buying other skincare products, and due to the size of it I didn't think it would last long - I was soon wrong! The little sample pot has lasted me absolutely ages, and it's worked wonders on my skin. I've always had dry skin under my eyes, making me look tired even when I wasn't; this cream has completely hydrated my skin and made it look so much brighter. I've loved it so much that I'm 100% ordering the full-sized product.
ColourPop - Give It To Me Straight Eyeshadow Palette
So I got this while ColourPop were doing free delivery to the UK and I've heard great things about the brand but I didn't know what to expect since I'd never seen any of the products in person. I'm so pleased with this palette; the shades are incredibly pigmented and so, so shimmery!
Zoella x ColourPop - Swipe Right Highlighter
First of all I'm just going to say that I love the whole idea of the Brunch Date collection! The designs are so sweet and different from any makeup that I've had before. I thought I'd try the highlighter (because I'm always looking for a new one) and this really surprised me with how pigmented it is! It's not massively over-glittery, but it definitely shows on my skin and has a lovely colour to it.As you can see, the packaging is so cute...
... And it has a lovely shimmery tone (the image on the left is without flash, and the image on the right is with flash)...
Hair Accessories
I LOVE that the scrunchies and hair clips trend has come around again! Personally, I find scrunchies much better than regular bobbles as they're softer and don't pull on my hair as much. And clips are just another way to accessorise and give little glam to your hair.
I bought these scrunchies from Claire's - I absolutely adore the shimmery velvet ones and the little floral/plain ones for all occasions.
